Black Market brunch

Today, I have the inspiration to blog after so many years maybe because I cannot upload all the pictures to instagram, therefore, I decided to open a new blog page to jot down all my wonderful experiences. My previous blog is under 'Wretch' which mainly mark down my negative thoughts and unhappy  moments. It is like a place for me to express my anger. So, I do not want to combine my happy moments to that blog but created a new one on blogspot. In addition, I can easily check out my blog posts anytime instead of connecting my external hardisk to view all the beautiful photos. Also, it is a good way for me to remember my experiences since I start to travel frequently.

To start with, I would like to blog about my brunch today with Soo Ling. She had done some research about the restaurants near my area. So today we decided to visit 'Black Market'. Soo Ling reached my house at around 1pm, and we were figuring out the address of the restaurant. It is located at Kg Pandan but we both were not that familiar with that area. We only know about the 'Caffeiness' is also located at the same area, so we look up for Caffeiness address first. Then, we found out that both address of the restaurants are same! It is not slightly the same but exactly same lot number, 16. We were thinking maybe both restaurants are located at the same road so we just head to Caffeiness first.

After we turned into the entrance, we saw Black Market is located right behind Caffeiness. It is a small building with little decorations, thats why not many people notice about it.
This is the menu, simple - black and white.

I ordered a set lunch - Black Scallop Pasta comes with mushroom soup and black coffee. My background is the kitchen, it's consider an open kitchen concept. We are able to see the kitchen once we enter the dining hall from the main entrance. Oh ya, forgot to take picture of the mini wine cellar at the reception. One thing I never seen before in US is that they tie the customers' polaroids together with the empty wine bottle. I guess whenever a customer orders a whole bottle of red/white wine, they are requested to take a polaroid photo and tie it with their bottle. It is quite a new and creative decoration.

While waiting for our food, we selca abit..lol..Asian style.

The big black cloth behind me is like a divider of the dining hall. I didn't ask the waiter what is inside but I guess when people organize function, they will expand the area.
By the way, there're a couple sitting infront of us. Notice anything weird? Maybe you cannot tell by a picture but we noticed that the woman is elder than the man and they're really 'lovely'. The man kept hold her hand and touched her body. What we actually felt was, the man is a 小白脸. Okay, I should not reveal anymore, these are all our predictions, no offense k? (=
Ta-daa, my Black Scallop Pasta finally served! I have waited this for ages =.= Let me talk about its taste. the pasta is not soft enough or maybe I personally like it to be softer, the scallops came with their shells which I also never seen in US before, but the presentation is quite good just that I was not really satisfy with the taste. It is very spicy + sour, due to the herbs and also the.. jalapeno? or maybe red pepper? Hmm, I would not recommend this but the benefit is the pasta is not as oily as others. Since I never try a black pasta before, it was a good try I would say.

Soo Ling with her fried rice, while I was enjoying my mushroom soup. According to her comment, the fried rice is good and the shrimps were pretty huge. Fyi, she ordered a-la carte, without soup and coffee which costs RM28, and RM36 for my set lunch pasta~

This time, we didn't order dessert as well because the selection is limited and it's abit pricey. We will go for a better place for only desserts next time! Before chao, as usual-snap snap snap!

So how is my debut blog post sounds like? cool? hehe..just a collection for myself. I mean I hope to remember all my wonderful experiences by blogging. It is not for anybody or entertain anyone, just for myself! Enjoy life, C'est La Vie!
