Regular Customer for Tasca

I have no idea how many times I've been here.
Americans do things really 10 times slower than the Malays,
forever taking their own sweet time to get all the paperwork done.
Our dealer asked us to come now because the Vin check place is closing soon.
We are here now for almost 1 hour already but he still walking slowly and disappeared now!
Im not sure how long more we should wait here.

The customers' lounge. We are allowed to make free hot beverages. 

After we got our vin check, we went to cox.

I met up with my ex roommate at the cox centre and she introduced me a job where she is working at now.

She was doing well last week and received high tips.

Waitress here doesn't have basic, but just earn from tips.

So I just went training/test work on the day, yesterday was my second test work day.

Pity me, no tips for me yesterday because no pay for training.

Worst thing was yesterday the restaurant was full! I was so exhausted and earn nothing )=

But nevermind, the boss decided to hire me and I may start working next week! 

Good begining for me, although this is not what I really wanna do,

since I do not have a job now, I take this job to pay for my rental and car loan.

I can do it!

Also, at the same time I can gain working experience in US,
so that I will be hired by the hotel in the future.

Random Thursday

I looked pale in this photo.
It's another Thursday, one week had passed without income.
Not the reason I didn't look for a job, but I just can't get one. )=
Anyway, I feel like we are more like moving into a new home and getting a new car,
because we have to buy some fixtures like TV and stuff,
and our car plate hasn't arrived yet, so there are many things pending before I can settle down.

Today, Xu felt headache and we went to a clinic.
The reason that doctor said was, he had emotional stress, hence lead to his muscle stress and caused painful.
What? Is that a proper information? He did not have any stress from me nor the school. Lol.
Anyway, there are no medicines provided from the clinic, we have to get it from the pharmacy ourselves.
This is America!
After that, we went to Harboside campus to get his registration code for his FSM class.
This is the pretty campus. No color editing.
Angmos playing soccer, they love activities at the field.

 I didn't take any classes in this campus. I was at Downcity campus for 2 years.
This campus is mainly for the Culinary Art students and also the Masters.

I have the feeling now that I took the wrong course.
Maybe I was wrong at first to study at Taylor's, because they do not even provided me job opportunities.
Then when I came to Johnson & Wales, I should have changed my major to culinary or SEE.
Now, I don't think I got a good job here even I passed with flying colors because I have no working experience here.
Everyone is hiring experienced workers. Who are going to take fresgrad then?
So unfair rite? Who is willing to give me a chance?
I know Im suck at interview too, but Im becoming more demotivated ever since rejected by 3 employers.
Ok. Fine, don't wanna add in negative elements in my new blog.

But us, the Asians, most of us gained weight since we came here. haha

School Starbucks always taste better than outside.

Happy Mooncake Festival

It was Tuesday morning, I was in DMV to renew my driving license. My eye bags were terrible, big and dark!

 I waited for around 20 minutes to be called to the counter. 

 There was an unfriendly staff at my counter, he talked so rude and didnt put my card nicely on the table. He repeated the action few times without realising what is he doing. wtf. Ruined my mood of the day. The stupid license costs me $42.50. Damn it.

 People say hallway is link to memory lost. That is why we tend to forget our belongings when we go out.

Anyway, Happy MoonCake Festival! I got this Daisy Mooncake from Malaysia. 

Goddard Beach

Went to the beach last Sunday. That day was probably the last day of summer because next day onwards the temperature had a drastic change. No more shorts around. It was a good decision that I decided to come to the beach, so, I looked up some sandy beaches on Yelp. This app is really useful, with useful tips/review and pictures attached. Goddard Memorial Park, this is the nearest sandy beach I could find.

 Luxury apartment means luxury apartment, big nice mirror on every floor.

 On the way to the beach. You can see blue skies in America everyday, unlike in Malaysia, too bright!

 The journey took about 30 minutes. Pretty houses along the road, so calm and peaceful living in this area. Free sea view every day. The residents here must be real rich! 

"Xu, ask your father buy you one house here ok? hehe"

 Look, this house is so pretty! white painting, green plats, blue skies and sea. Suitable for retired persons. People will probably have lesser stress living here and maybe have a healthier life? 

 Most of the houses own a yacht here. Cool huh!

I think this one is on sale, if it isnt, there are many other houses are showing the ad board. If I had extra money to invest, I will buy a house here or at Newport, near the beach. We could go to the beach on summer holiday, omg, imagination is always easy. *Back to reality*

 Bunch of old lady relaxing by the beach. Bring along your beach chair (not sure if it is the correct term) and sit here the whole afternoon. What a good place for gathering and picnic. Will do it one day, er, probably have to wait til next year, next summer =/

Felt so calm and peaceful mind at the beach. I dislike rocky beach in Newport, actually I'd never been to a sandy beach with smooth sands in the states. I just been to the one in Australia few years back, not so sure about the name of the beach but the sands were really smooth and comfortable. I didnt wanna leave the beach that time, and I felt like lying on the sand but we didnt planned well, so, we couldnt just lye there without any tools. Hmm, will blog about the trip when im free. So many trips that i should have blogged all these while, so that I have a better memories with the places now.

 Hi, fat arm. By the way, got this top and shorts from nordstrom rack the other day. Both are from Topshop, after discount, $9.90 for the top, and $19.90 for the shorts.

People here used to eat the soup with crackers.

 Seafood Casserole - scallops, shrimp, lobster, scrod and cheese baked with sherry garlic butter.

I learnt a new term - sherry. Sherry means garlic butter according to the waitress.

The server said we are lucky because the clam chowder did not post into the system, so we had a free bowl of soup. This is america, they wont charge me more when it is their technical error. Thats why theres the $0.01 for a Dior Sunglassess case happened! But never happened on me before.
